Luceplan at IMM Colonia with a special installation with Liiu designed by VANTOT

For its thematic exhibition “Installation Circles”, IMM Cologne identifies the Liiu lighting system, born from the design by VANTOT for Luceplan in 2023, as one of the focal points of the entire exposition. The installation is named “Impact of light” and has been set up at the fair (Hall 3.2) - near the entrance - from January 14^th to 18^th.

January 14^th-18^th, Cologne - After the launch at Euroluce 2023, another important trade fair event for Luceplan, which with Liiu design by VANTOT, travels to Germany and takes part in the IMM Cologne fair.

The installation, conceived for the occasion by the Dutch design duo, is called “Impact of light” and will be one of the focal points of the fair (Hall 3.2). Not a booth, but a poetic circle of light that promotes encounters and inspiration, featuring more than 100 lighting elements. An imposing configuration suitable for public spaces, yet it houses a cozy and inclusive space within, emphasized by the lights and shadows generated by the circular installation and the lamp bodies projecting outward. An invitation to users to engage in a sensory play and contact with low-voltage technology, the result of an increasingly bold research effort by Luceplan.

The Liiu lamp, technical and light at the same time, with its slender electrified metal cables anchored to the ceiling, remains constantly tensioned through counterweights. The bodies of the lamp are positioned on the cables by means of two very light arms that support the luminous head and feature a spiral at the extremity. The effect of weight guarantees its constant power supply, while their flow along the cables creates a design in continuous transformation.
