Project overview

The Art Library designed by Toyo Ito, is located in the suburbs of Tokyo and stretches up a gentle slope with a big garden. The arch shaped architecture of the building gives a pleasant sensation of taking part in the surrounding nature and gives a spatial continuity with the interiors. The Costanza lamps in the suspension and table version light up the bookcases and the desks of the reading rooms. The gentle shapes of the lamps and their diffused light perfectly combine with the natural light which abounds in the spaces.
